eden supports Nottingham drop-in centre with essential donations and voluntary work
eden PR is delighted to announce its partnership with The Friary Drop-In Centre, a West Bridgford-based charity aiming to assist Nottingham’s homeless and vulnerable adults, with donations welcomed via the general public.
The Friary’s mission is to empower homeless and vulnerable adults to rebuild their lives by offering practical services, advice and emotional support.
Ben Talbot, Chief Executive of The Friary said: “It is critical that we continue to receive donations, such as those we have received from Eden and other businesses throughout the county.
“We appreciate each and every donation that comes through to our Drop-In Centre, and we are excited for the Eden team to be joining us with their volunteering days.”
The registered charity supports people on their journey to recovery and aims to restore their voices. Every year the charity caters for 15,000 visits from local people who are suffering the effects of homelessness, substance misuse, financial destitution and social isolation.
During these visits, individuals can receive a hot meal, drink, a shower or a wash of their clothes, while being surrounded by the warmth and compassion of the Friary’s team.
Eden will be donating several days’ worth of time throughout 2024, with staff supporting those in the Friary’s Drop-In Centre on Musters Road in West Bridgford, during their daily sessions, as well as at the organisation’s allotment, where it grows fresh fruit and vegetables.
Eden’s Joint Managing Director, Kathryn Greenwood, said: “The cost-of-living crisis has seen more vulnerable people pushed into poverty, and it felt right to support one of our city’s critical charities in any way we could.
“Supplying The Friary with a donation of essential items is a starting point, and the team are eager to get out into the community for their volunteering days, and help The Friary team to continue making a difference with the services they provide.”
