eden PR expands stakeholder engagement expertise with senior hire

Midlands PR agency Eden PR is continuing to invest in its senior team with the announcement of a new appointment with specialist stakeholder engagement expertise.
Following the expansion of key accounts and new client wins, Issy Turner has joined Eden with more than a decade of experience across inhouse communications and agency side. Issy started her career in local news, attaining her degree and preliminary journalistic NCTJ qualifications before moving into PR and communications. She has worked on national campaigns and communications strategies for both B2B and B2C clients and is a huge advocate for closing the gender health gap and promoting inclusive communications.
Issy led the media relations and strategy at national children’s sports charity the Youth Sport Trust for 7 years and developed her knowledge of inclusive comms while inhouse, before returning agency side to take on the position of Senior Account Manager at Eden PR after having her son.
Issy said: “It’s great to join such a forward thinking and talented agency. I love working on campaigns which create behaviour and policy change, of which Eden has many. I am looking forward to supporting clients to get their messages heard while continuing to uphold the brilliant media relations and reputation Eden is known for, both regionally and nationally, with journalists.”
Issy will lead accounts at Eden across HR, recruitment and the funeral sector.
She added: “I was really impressed by Eden’s support for new working parents, it’s not something you come by every day, especially agency side, and it’s great to be led by strong women in business who share the same family values.”
Director and Head of New Business at Eden PR, Emily Winsor-Russell, said: “This is quite a full circle moment for Issy and I, as we worked together over a decade ago. Since then we’ve both developed our approach to client and audience engagement and honed our areas of expertise. Issy’s experience in house at a charity known for its powerful agenda-changing work, for instance, was a senior skillset we’ve been on the hunt for for some time.
“Issy has fitted in to the team seamlessly and although it has only been a matter of weeks since she started, it feels like much longer. A very good sign for what is set to be an exciting new chapter for our agency.”
